Crisis and Resilience Fund

The Crisis and Resilience Fund supports Island residents who are experiencing financial hardship due to an unexpected financial shock. The fund may provide assistance with essential living costs, including food, utilities, and necessary household goods or services.

Support may be delivered through different payment methods, depending on assessed need. Applications are normally restricted to two per household within a 12-month period. The local authority may exercise discretion in exceptional circumstances as the administrators of the fund. All applications are assessed in line with published eligibility criteria.

Evidence you will need to provide

You will be required to provide evidence to support your application. This includes, but is not limited to:

Proof of identity and address
Passport, driving licence, benefit letter, recent bank statement, or tenancy agreement.
Proof of income and expenses
Bank statements from the last four weeks for all accounts in your name or joint names.
Proof of the financial shock
Repair report, bill, bank statements, invoice for fuel charge, or photographs.

You need to submit evidence as requested to crfapplication@iow.gov.uk as soon as possible. If you do not supply this within seven days of us asking for it, your application will be closed.

Financial awards are not guaranteed and depend on individual circumstances and the evidence provided. Applicants are asked to complete the form fully and provide clear information about the reason for their application. This ensures a fair and timely assessment and enables appropriate support and referrals to be identified.
